Job Summary:

As a Dock Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods in and out of our warehouse or distribution center. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
- Proven experience as a Dock Supervisor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and software

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the loading dock, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows for all employees, regardless of their background or identity
- Coordinate and prioritize incoming and outgoing shipments, balancing workload and resources equitably
- Train, mentor, and supervise dockworkers, providing equal opportunities for growth and development to each team member
- Monitor productivity and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed, without bias or discrimination
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all employees
- Collaborate with other departments, such as transportation and inventory, to optimize overall logistics operations while respecting diversity and inclusivity
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, inventory, and personnel, treating all information with confidentiality and respect
- Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the loading or unloading process fairly and impartially, without favoritism or discrimination
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements that benefit all individuals on the team, regardless of their background
